In a climate of uncertainty for EV charging infrastructure funding across the United States, California continues to lead the way with stable, state-level incentives. We’re proud to announce that AMPECO is now officially listed as an Eligible Network Provider by the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP). The program is developed by the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) and funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC).

Why this matters for your business

While the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program faces federal funding freezes, California remains committed to expanding its EV charging network through CALeVIP.

CALeVIP has become one of the most important initiatives for EV charging network operators, providing rebates and incentives for the installation of EV chargers across California. With AMPECO listed as an approved network provider, tapping into these incentives becomes much easier. CALeVIP 2.0’s focus on high-powered chargers aligns perfectly with the growing demand for fast-charging infrastructure across the state.

As an Eligible Network Provider, AMPECO’s platform enables EV charging network operators to:

  • Access substantial California-specific funding for your EV charging infrastructure  that can cover up to 100% of your project costs
  • Meet the equipment eligibility criteria for a network as published on the list of eligible equipment on the CALeVIP website.
  • Seamlessly report required data through our purpose-built reporting generator tool that meets the strict 15-minute interval requirements

Upcoming CALeVIP rebates and incentives

Get ready for a significant funding opportunity launching this summer. The Fast Charge California Project (FCCP-1)  will make at least $55 million in incentives available for high-power DC fast charger installations throughout California. The application window opens July 8 – September 30, 2025

Key benefits include:

  • Up to $100,000 per charging port or 100% of project costs
  • Statewide availability to qualifying sites
  • First-come, first-served funding structure for projects that are ready to build with permits and utility designs in place
  • Funding applies for up to 20 charging ports per applicant

As your technology partner, AMPECO ensures you meet all networking requirements, including the mandatory 6-year networking agreement specified in the implementation manual.

Important program requirements:

  • Combining FCCP-1 funds with other funding sources is not allowed
  • Applications require a 6-year networking agreement with an eligible provider like AMPECO
  • Each charging port must provide a minimum of 150 kW guaranteed output
  • At least one CCS charging port is required for incentive eligibility
