Working with major charging operators across 60 markets has taught us precisely what our clients need to succeed. We’ve seen firsthand how the right software can transform a charging business, and that transformation often requires both standardization and flexibility.

That’s why we championed the hybrid approach to charging management software, combining a comprehensive, ready-to-use platform with unlimited customization potential.

This has proven essential for operators managing complex, multi-market networks, allowing them to scale efficiently while maintaining their unique competitive advantages.

In 2024, we released numerous features and enhancements. Here are the key highlights:

Multi-country operations
Our platform enables operators to manage complex muti-national networks supporting diverse taxation rules and payment structures across different regions. The system handles cross-border settlements while maintaining local compliance, making international expansion seamless for charging operators.

Energy management
We significantly enhanced our Dynamic Load Management (DLM) capabilities with two major innovations. First, we introduced multi-level DLM functionality, perfect for parking operators and CPOs serving multi-story business or residential buildings. Second, we optimized DLM specifically for home chargers, ensuring efficient energy distribution at residential locations.

Marketing tools
We expanded our marketing capabilities to help operators boost revenue and enhance user engagement. Operators can now offer free trial periods for pre-paid subscription plans, increasing customer acquisition and retention. We integrated OneSignal for push notifications and in-app messaging, enabling targeted promotional campaigns to engage EV drivers directly. We also introduced time-limited vouchers with flexible expiration options, giving operators precise control over their promotional offerings.

Regulatory compliance
We implemented comprehensive solutions for multiple key regulatory frameworks in 2024. Our platform now supports AFIR-compliant payment solutions through integrated payment terminals, web portals, and QR code implementations. We added automated DeutschlandNetz reporting capabilities, enabling real-time data transmission to Germany’s National Charging Infrastructure Control Center.

Our platform also meets US NEVI (National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure) program requirements and UK PCPR (Public Charge Point Regulations) standards, and the NIS2 Directive, ensuring operators can confidently deploy and manage charging networks across these major markets.

Security
As an ISO 27001-certified provider, we strengthened our cybersecurity infrastructure with enhanced protocols, including robust data encryption, multi-factor authentication, and comprehensive incident management.

Developer Hub
We introduced the AMPECO Developer Hub, making our comprehensive API documentation and development tools publicly accessible to empower providers to leverage our platform’s full capabilities more efficiently, create custom solutions, and easily integrate with their existing systems.

As we look to 2025, we’ll keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, making sure our platform remains the most adaptable and powerful solution in the industry.

Building our global team

We significantly expanded our global presence, with our team growing to over 160 professionals. We created 13 new roles and established strong local leadership in key markets such as France, the Netherlands, and the US.

Our investment in customer success led to a transformative year for migrations. Our dedicated teams successfully executed some of the industry’s largest platform transitions, including complex projects for major operators like E.ON Drive Infrastructure. By expanding our product, engineering, account management, and migration capabilities, we ensured seamless onboarding for enterprise clients while providing enhanced local support across Europe and North America.

Our culture and values came to life at the two AMPECO Summits (Spring and Fall editions), which brought our global team together for alignment, celebration, and strategic planning. Both gatherings highlighted our shared belief that every connection matters within our team, with our partners, and across the EV ecosystem.

As demand for our solutions continues to grow, we’re actively expanding our commercial presence with a particular focus on key markets, including the US, UK/Ireland, Germany, and Italy, where we’re building strong local teams to support our rapid growth.

Expanding our partner ecosystem

image of AMPECO expanding our partner ecosystem

In 2024, we strengthened our role in the EV charging ecosystem. Our open platform approach enables charge point operators to build comprehensive solutions through strategic integrations across hardware manufacturers, payment providers, and roaming networks.

Through partnerships with industry leaders like Hubject and ChargeHub, we expanded our roaming coverage, while our partnership with Worldline streamlined payment operations for CPOs across Europe. We enhanced fleet management capabilities through Webfleet and Guided Energy integrations, expanded residential charging options, and enhanced our partnership with Zaptec.

Most importantly, our partner ecosystem approach gives operators the flexibility to choose best-in-class solutions while maintaining seamless operations through a single platform. This strategy supports both established enterprises and growing operators as they scale their networks across markets.

As a member of ChargeUp Europe, we’re now better positioned to drive positive change in the EV charging market alongside fellow industry leaders, contributing our global expertise to advance charging infrastructure across Europe.

Thought leadership and global impact
