Welcome to another addition to the Life at AMPECO series. Once again, we’re focusing on the customer service department teams, this time delving into the technical side of the story.
We are introducing Georgi Stoyanov, who has worked at AMPECO for two years as a Technical Support Team Lead. In his free time, he enjoys escaping the hustle and bustle of the city by engaging in outdoor activities, much like many of his colleagues. Whether hiking in the mountains, fishing, or participating in sports, these activities help him clear his mind and focus on his daily responsibilities.
Georgi’s passion for cars led him to join AMPECO and be part of the EV charging industry.
What path led you to AMPECO?
Over the past 15 years, I have gained extensive experience in customer support, which has helped me develop my professional skills. At a certain stage in my career, I realized my people management talent and was keen on further developing this skill. As a people manager, I have successfully integrated my passion for technology with my expertise in CRM. Additionally, I have refined my time management, problem-solving, and effective communication abilities.
I discovered AMPECO through my network and LinkedIn’s algorithm and found a job opening through social media. Initially, the position was for a customer success manager, but my hiring manager noticed my experience and potential, which led to the creation of the technical support team.
What convinced me to start at AMPECO? The startup experience. It is precious and exciting for any professional who enjoys learning quickly and continuously to join a company during its scale-up period. I’ve always wanted to work in one, and I’m happy I decided to join AMPECO.
What’s the thing about your role that ignites your power?
I enjoy acquiring and sharing knowledge. As a team leader, they rely on me to support them in performing their work to the best of their abilities, which allows me to assist them.
However, this doesn’t apply only to the technical support team. Our culture is committed to sharing knowledge and supporting one another. Whenever the product team introduces something new, we collaborate to ensure I learn it quickly. Then, I create a brief guide for my team and explain all the latest features so they are well-informed. Such collaborative situations occur frequently and demonstrate our outstanding cross-team cooperation. Sharing knowledge in this way makes me proud to be part of AMPECO.
What does your typical workday look like?
My usual workday begins by organizing tasks for my colleagues. This entails managing Jira tickets and assessing the team’s workload to ensure an equitable distribution of responsibilities. A key aspect of my role is evaluating their work to pinpoint areas for improvement and establish best practices that we should uphold.
Like other teams, we have many meetings in the client services department, most of which are related to complex cases. When there is a technical issue, we collaborate with other teams. This teamwork is one of my favorite parts of the job. We gather with our most experienced colleagues to discuss the current case and understand why and how it happened. We involve different people to examine the problem thoroughly. As a result, even the most puzzling cases become clear. Working with others to solve a tricky issue and achieve tangible results is incredibly satisfying.
What are the go-to skills to work at one of the world’s leading EV charging software companies?
At AMPECO, curiosity is essential. Instead of fearing the unknown or change, embrace them, especially in a scale-up setting. Effective time management is crucial for distinguishing between important and less important tasks, prioritizing them, and addressing fundamental problems and challenges accordingly. Lastly, being a team player and thinking for the collective rather than for personal ego is essential.
Within our team, it is crucial to understand our clients’ needs precisely. We must set aside personal egos and dedicate ourselves to providing the best assistance to our customers. This involves being well-prepared to explain the situation in detail when they require help, outlining all the necessary steps they need to take, and understanding both the specific information and the overall context.
How does your journey at AMPECO contribute to your personal and professional growth?
I have acquired substantial knowledge about the industry and the professional field. This experience has demonstrated that regardless of your level of experience, there are always new things to learn and various ways to enhance your skills. With sufficient motivation, it is possible to acquire extensive knowledge about the entire industry and a complex product like AMPECO within six to eight months and then showcase your potential. There are numerous opportunities here, depending on how ambitious you are.
What’s one thing you do that is important to you?
I strive to assist clients and colleagues simultaneously and share my knowledge, which is the key to success.

AMPECO is exciting because the industry is new, and it has a solid place in our future. It’s fantastic to be part of the establishment of the EV charging world.
As I’ve mentioned, it’s dynamic because the industry is new, so we must adapt quickly to every change. Regulations are constantly evolving, and we need to adjust to them promptly.
AMPECO is promising for the transportation industry. It may not be big currently, but it has its place next to the vehicles of tomorrow.
What do you like the most about your team and the people here?
I appreciate that we are always willing to help each other and solve problems quickly, no matter how complex. Here, you can always find someone who will provide you with a solution and the necessary answers. We have minimal bureaucracy, a balanced process approach, and a fair decision-making process, which is very important to me.
What would you tell a friend who was considering working in AMPECO?
If they enjoy being dynamic, adaptable, and curious, AMPECO is the place to be.
What’s your advice for someone wanting to join our team?
Be patient and give yourself time to learn. You will need knowledge in this industry at every step of your journey, so take your time. Ensure that you understand what’s going on. Build a solid foundation and then aim for the stars.
