Currently, Elaway’s operations span Norway, Sweden, and Germany, with a goal to become the largest car charging operator in Europe for housing communities.

Initially, Elaway explored various EV charging use cases. However, they quickly realized that only a strategic focus on one segment would allow them to build an exceptional offering to win the market and grow.
Recognizing the significant opportunity represented by residential complexes, Elaway considered developing their own Charge Point Management System (CPMS), which turned out to be a complex and resource-intensive project requiring substantial expertise.
The software solution they were looking for had to be white-label, hardware-agnostic, and support specific residential charging functionalities, such as monthly billing cycles, dynamic pricing, and custom user onboarding.
To scale operations across markets, Elaway required a CPMS that could handle local specifics related to tax, regulations, and EV driver behavior. Another critical element was the possibility to automate key business processes and use API to transfer data to their existing IT infrastructure.
