Organized by AVERE – the European Association for Electromobility, the AEC 2023 is a driving force behind the united effort of private and public stakeholders to move the transportation sector away from its fossil fuel dependency and towards a sustainable, emission-free future. As global political leaders have made ambitious commitments to leaving internal combustion engines in the past within only a decade, this has left a gap in need of urgent attention. In particular, the challenge to solve now is how to develop sustainable and efficient transportation technologies and infrastructure to meet the global demands for moving people and goods.
Devising such a global-reaching plan of action takes serious consideration into how to meet the needs of the industry while remaining committed to a sustainable future. The lead role here goes to e-mobility, which is central to the AEC. The event brings together stakeholders representing the industrial, governmental, and private aspects of mobility to discuss and formulate policies and directions on how to move forward with sustainable transportation.
AEC 2023 will give visitors multiple opportunities to expand their knowledge and network about e-mobility through panels, roundtables, side events, and dedicated networking sessions. Five pillars will make up the essence of the conference. These are “Beyond the plug,” “Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles,” “Resilient Energy Infrastructure”, “Future-proof Supply Chain”, and “Skills for the Future.” The forum will host a long list of decision-makers and executives from the zero-emission mobility sector.
