Idaho Power Sparks Change for Businesses
Idaho Power, a prominent energy provider in the state, is taking a proactive approach to encourage businesses to embrace electric mobility. Through its EV charging incentive program, business customers have the opportunity to apply for funding to install Level 1 or Level 2 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). This infrastructure is designed to support fleets, employees, or customers, making electric vehicle charging more accessible than ever.
Idaho Power funding program
Under Idaho Power’s program, eligible businesses can receive incentives of up to 50% of the project costs, with a cap of $7,500 per site. This financial support significantly reduces the financial barriers associated with installing EV charging stations, making it an attractive proposition for businesses of all sizes. However, it’s important to note that funding is limited, and applications do not guarantee funding.
Idaho Power, in collaboration with the Treasure Valley Clean Cities Coalition, goes the extra mile to assist businesses in their journey toward EV charging infrastructure. The partnership offers technical assistance consulting services that guide businesses in determining whether public EV charging is a suitable option for their operations.
YTCC’s rebate initiative
Further bolstering Idaho’s commitment to sustainable transportation, the Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities (YTCC) is contributing to the cause through its rebate program. Businesses and municipalities located in the communities surrounding Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are eligible to receive a rebate of $5,000 toward the purchase of publicly accessible EVSE.
